What exercise equipment do I need?

You can perform the workouts at home with your own equipment, or at your local gym. 

If you are planning to do the workouts at home, you will need access to the following equipment:

  • Dumbbells

  • Stability ball (swiss ball)

  • Resistance Bands (there are various types - all fitness stores will supply some form of resistance bands)

  • A chin-up bar or somewhere you can perform pull-up exercises (you can buy chin-up bars that fit in a door frame at most fitness stores)

 

Non-essential equipment

The following equipment is not necessary to complete the workouts (as we will provide alternate exercises); however you will get even better results if you implement these into your program.

"I am a mostly a weekend warrior, now with work and family duties.  I do get the occasional glass off session and luckily the wife is OK with both days on the weekend.  Summer here in So Cal can be very inconsistant, flat for 3 weeks then a solid SW swell for days, flat for another week, then sporadic days of wind swell.

"I am now 60 years young, had major surgery last year and was in and out of Hospital 3 times during the year. This meant I became even more unfit. I tried to get back into surfing and it was hard work.
